In a bizarre partnership that defies traditional forecasts, the game developer has announced an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Revealed

According to the official statement, "A strange meeting leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where rumors of forbidden practices and fearsome changes resonate through the obscurity." The narrative introduces a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a secret group.

The questline focuses on "strange experiments and a terrifying adversary" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Metamorphoses

The teaser highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser ends with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Extra Features

Players who accomplish the mission will obtain an exclusive katana alongside several objects hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:

• Mikasa outfit for Naoe

This release also introduces the game's newest no-cost story content, titled "The Enigma." True to its name, "A Puzzlement" also contains a fresh environmental puzzle that may finally clarify some lingering questions from the main storyline.
